Brothers4Brothers:

About Us

It’s time for men to realise that they don’t have to suffer in silence any longer.

Brothers4Brothers is a dedicated support group for men of all ages, genders, and backgrounds, with issues relating to mental health and wellbeing. We provide men a safe and comfortable space where they can talk and show vulnerability without judgment or expectation. Our vision is to build a strong brotherhood where we share resources and support one another as equals.

We offer confidential, no-judgment sessions where you can share your story and get support from our trusted team.

We have been running the program regularly for a few years now and have seen some amazing transformations in the lives of the men who have attended our groups. As the community grows, so will our offerings until we provide a one-stop-shop helping men become happy and healthy. Join our cause and be a part of the change.

How it started

I, Willie Bishop, am the founder of Brothers4Brothers. I am not clinically trained in counselling, but I have a wealth of personal experience that makes me a great mentor and counsellor. My passion to help other men in this space comes from my struggles with mental health.

B4B was founded on my struggles with mental health. After 17 years of marriage, I ended up separated from my wife and two sons for two years. I became selfish, stubborn, controlling, manipulative, and egotistic. I experienced depression and anxiety and had suicidal thoughts before having a moment of clarity that led me on a journey to healing and growth. It wasn’t until I had a “penny drop moment” that made me realise I needed to change to become a better husband, father, and man.

Through my journey of healing and growth, I was able to reconcile with my wife and save my family. Now, I gladly mentor other men through their struggles in hopes of guiding them towards positive change.

Through communication and connection, I believe we can all find our way back to one another.

Getting Started With

Online Mentoring

We know that meeting in person is not always the best first step for everyone on their healing journey.

It can be intimidating to share mental health struggles in person. Plus, there may not be an in-person meeting close enough to actually attend in person. That is why we also offer one-on-one online mentoring sessions. These are 45-minute sessions designed to help ease your worries and help you feel comfortable sharing your mental health story.

Here at Brothers4Brothers, we are dedicated to creating a space for men of all walks of life to be heard, seen, and supported in a safe and judgment-free environment. Online mentoring sessions are an excellent way to begin that journey, even if you just want to simply learn more about the organization and how everything works. You can reach out today to set up an initial online session or to learn more about in-person events in your area.
